Event: Pinewood Derby Car Inspection and Impound
When: Friday January 13th, 2012 from 5 pm until 9 pm
Where: The Salvation Army Chapel at Worthington Woods
What: Qualification of pinewood cars to meet Cub Class (all Cub/Webelos Scouts), Den Class (Den cars) and Open Class (Siblings/Adults/Alumni/etc). Please have you car finished and ready to be qualified when you arrive. All cars will be kept at the Chapel after passing inspection and deemed ready to race and will not return home with the Scout/Sibling/Adult/Alumni/etc until after the races are completed on Saturday.

Event: Pinewood Derby Race Day
When: Saturday January 14th, 2012 from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm (approximately)
Where: The Salvation Army Chapel at Worthington Woods What:

8:30 am – 9:00 am: Cub Scouts may arrive as early as 8:30 am to see all of the Cub Scout cars laid out on a table in order to vote for the Pack favorite. Entries must be submitted by 9 am.

The following will be voted on by random judges designated by the Pinewood Derby Committee.

• Best Scouting Themed Car

• Most Patriotic Car

• Best Paint Job

• Best Car Not A Car

Concession/Bake Sale will be available for a small donation cost in the lobby/kitchen area from 9 am until 11:30 am. No food or beverage allowed in the Sanctuary

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TIMES ARE APPROMIMATE ESTIMATES. WE HAVE RUN AHEAD OF SCHEDULE IN THE PAST TWO YEARS. PLEASE HAVE FAMILY MEMEBERS AND SCOUTS PRESENT FOR YOUR HEATS AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME.

9:00 am – 9:15 am: Everyone take their seats and get ready for Opening Ceremonies

9:15 am – 9:30 am: Opening Ceremonies and Announcements

9:30 am - 9:45 am: Tiger Scouts (estimate 13 heats)

9:45 am – 10:00 am: Wolf Scouts (estimate 11 heats)

10:00 am – 10:25 am: Bear Scouts (estimate 20 heats)

10:25 am – 10:35 am: Webelos I (estimate 9 heats)

10:35 am – 10:50 am: Webelos II (estimate 11 heats)

10:50 am – 11:05 am: Sibling/Adult/Alumni (estimate 10 heats)

11:05 am – 11:15 am: Den Car Races (estimate 8 heats)

11:15 am – 11:30 am: Cub Class and Open Class Awards (1st, 2nd and 3rd), Den Class Winner and Craftsmanship and Pack Favorite Awards

11:30 am – 11:45 am: Pack Grand Champion Races (10 heats)

11:45 am – 12:00 pm: Pack Grand Champion Presentation and Closing Ceremony
